The Kazoku is a Japanese restaraunt located in a slightly weird part of town, surrounded by suburbs and almost on a business island but it is worth the detour. The inside is well decorated, fun signs, tables with character, unique cutlury that's better than the regular Asian restaraunt chopsticks. The wait staff was friendly I paid about $14 for a bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen and $9 for seven pieces of karaage. The karaage is good, not as good as true Japanese karaage but better than any chicken nugget you can get at a fast food place. Probably not worth it, but still good. The ramen is some of the better ramen I've had not in Japan the broth is well flavored and the toppings are what you would expect. The only thing that dissapoints is the chashu which doesn't melt in your mouth like you would really want out of an authentic Japanese ramen.
Still, the Kazoku is a wonderful Japanese place and probably the best place to get a bowl of ramen in Longmont.
